Hello! Welcome to SRD's highly improvisational page. We aim to add more information here for the section members. Perhaps the most important thing is that anyone can come to our meetings held on Wednesdays in E:1123 between 12:15 and 13:00. Coffee and drinks are always provided :)
FAQ.
Q: Who are you, and what do you do for me?
A: SRD, or the study council, is the section's body that manages study monitoring. This means we gather students' voices and represent them to the school to maintain the quality of education. We also stand up for students' rights when they are violated.
Q: What is a C.E.Q., and why should I fill it out?
A: C.E.Q. stands for the Course Evaluation Questionnaire and is a form sent out after each course at LTH. It includes rating scales and open-text fields to provide feedback about the course. We want as many people as possible to fill out their C.E.Q., so we raffle ICA gift cards of 300 SEK for each C.E.Q. filled out.
Q: What happens to my C.E.Q. after it's submitted? A: After the response period is over, SRD's year representatives go through the open-text responses to censor if necessary before making the answers available to the course responsible. Note that all answers are already anonymous at this stage, meaning SRD cannot see who provided which answers. After censorship, course representatives, year representatives, and teachers meet to discuss the course in a meeting to talk about how the course can be improved for the next year.
Q: Can I find old C.E.Q. responses?
A: C.E.Q. responses are compiled in a work report along with comments from SRD, Program Management, and the Course Responsible. So, the raw responses are not available, but the reports with compiled statistics can be found here.
Q: What rights do we, as students, actually have?
A: LU has compiled a list of rights! You can read it in its entirety here. We also have answers to some of the more common questions here.
Q: What do I do if a teacher seems to violate students' rights?
A: Stand your ground! And if you don't want to go directly to the teacher, you can turn to your year representative, attend one of our meetings, or email the SRD chairman, and we will take the issue forward.
Q: When will the exam results come out?
A: According to LU, it should take 15 working days. However, LTH has an exception for corrections on courses with 200 or more participants (then 22 days) and if a department has more than 700 participants (then 30 days). However, the fall exams should always be completed before Monday week 3, study period 3.
Feel free to email our study council chairman at srdordforande@dsek.se if you have any feedback on studies or questions.
