Are you considering submitting a motion to VTM? Wonderful! Here are some tips and information whether you're feeling lost or want to ensure your motion has the best chance of being approved at the meeting. Basic Information: Motions should be sent to ordforande@dsek.se no later than Tuesday, April 9th. Encouragement: Try to write the motion in a timely manner and submit it as soon as you feel it's ready. This allows the board to better plan our work, reducing the workload. However, it's more important that you submit a motion you're satisfied with than submitting it early, so focus on making it good! Sometimes, during the meeting, it can be difficult for members to understand what actually changes when only conditional clauses are altered. To assist your fellow d-sek members, you can look at how the student union does it. They take a copy of the document being amended, and mark up the copy, highlighting what should be removed in red, what has been changed or added in yellow, etc. If you include this with your motion, it becomes easier during the meeting to compare and see what has actually changed. Not sure how to write it? There's a tool to help you write your motion. Visit gerda.dsek.se and navigate to "motion." There, you can fill in your text in the appropriate fields, and your motion will be nicely formatted! If you're unsure about what typically goes into a motion, look through old motions! There are plenty on the website under the "meeting documents" tab, which you can review to understand how to formulate and structure your motion. Tips: The more well-crafted and clear your motion is, the easier it will be for the meeting to discuss it. Be prepared to answer questions. During the meeting, you'll be asked to present your motion, and then there will be an opportunity for questions. Try to be ready to explain your motion and why it's beneficial. Ask someone who knows! You can talk to the board, auditors, the strategic committee, or other experienced individuals who have written motions before. There are plenty of people who know how to craft a motion elegantly and clearly. We're here to help each other, so seek assistance! Just make sure the people you ask only assist with the wording and are not trying to change the essence of your motion! Lastly, your motion doesn't have to be perfect. Do the best you can, ask for help. If there are things that don't feel 100%, they can be discussed, and a good solution can be reached at the meeting. The most important thing is that you get to address what you want to change in the guild, because the guildis here for you.

Hejsan alla sektionsmedlemmar! 🐋🐋🐋 Nu är det snart dags för VTM, vilket i år kommer att vara den 23/4! Sektionsmötet är vårt högsta beslutande organ vilket betyder att det är här alla de största ärenden tas upp och beslutas om av alla närvarande sektionsmedlemmar. Alla sektionsmedlemmar är välkomna till sektionsmötet. På mötet kommer det ske val av 4 st poster, nämligen Teknikfokusansvarig (för Teknikfokus året 2025), Tackmästare (för vintertacket 2024) och nästa års Valberedningens ordförande och Valberedningsrepresentanter. Teknikfokusansvarig och valberedningen har mandatperioden 01-07-2024 till 30-06-2025, och Tackmästare har mandatperioden 01-07-2024 till 31-12-2024. Valberedningen valbereds inte (🤯) utan väljs istället genom golvkandidering, men de övriga posterna kommer att valberedas enligt våra styrdokument (reglementet, Policy för Val och Policy för Valberedningens arbete) och genom personintervjuer likt föregående år. Vi kommer ha våra intervjuer 8 till 14 april, vilket tyvärr sammanfaller med slutet av omtentap. Nomineringen kommer att vara öppen fram till 23:59 på söndag (31/3), och sker genom Google Forms-länken: https://link.dsek.se/ansokVTM. Nominering sker anonymt, och det kommer INTE finnas någon offentlig nomineringslista inför VTM, utan istället får vi valstatistik! Anledningen är att jag vill ha “testat” valstatistik på sektionsmöte innan HTMVal i höst, vilket kan ge underlag till nästa valberedning. Kravprofilerna finns på hemsidan i mappen 2024/VTM https://www.dsek.se/documents/kravprofiler. Det går att läsa detaljerade postbeskrivningar i reglementet under punkt §21 Funktionärer (https://www.dsek.se/reglemente). Vi i valberedningen planerar även att ta anonym feedback på valprocessen från alla intervjuade. Så om du blir intervjuad, var förberedd på att fylla i en anonym enkät för att förbättra kommande valprocesser.
