I think many students don’t realise how much work and how important the Student Union is for us students. Without the Representative Council, the Student Union wouldn’t function. It’s also important to ensure that the Union focuses on the "right" things. 🌸 How would you describe the Representative Council to someone who doesn’t know what it is? The Representative Council is kind of like guild meetings, but for the Student Union (though much shorter). You make the final decisions, elect officers, and ensure everything is running smoothly. 🌸 How does the Representative Council affect the average student? A lot of decisions are made in the Representative Council that affect almost every aspect of campus life — everything from the physical/social environment, our studies, student life, and more. 🌸 Why did YOU apply to the Representative Council? I applied because I think what happens in the Representative Council is super important! I have a lot of experience from years of involvement in my guild, which I thought could contribute. 🌸 What is the most rewarding part of the Representative Council? I’ve gained more insight into the Student Union and the other guilds, but also how the Union collaborates with LTH and LU! 🌸 Why should someone apply to the Representative Council? Because your voice matters! The Representative Council needs to represent all (or at least as many as possible) different students. What the Union does is for us students, and to make it work well, different perspectives need to be raised.

The introduction may be over but that’s not gonna stop the festivities committee from having events! Next week we will be hosting not one, but two pubs! On October 16th it’s time for a Halloween pub🎃 with a horror movie quiz which will be held during the evening, så brush up on your horror movie knowledge and put on your best Halloween outfit, there have been rumours that prizes will be awarded to the winner of the quiz and for the person with the best costume👀 We also promise some spooky drinks! The Halloween pub is held in iDét and opens at 18:30! Just two days later, on October 18th, it’s time for the Octoberfest pub🌭 together with the W-guild! We will be serving a broad selection of beers as well as bratwurst prepared in the very best ways! Get into the Octoberfest spirit and take the opportunity to talk to some people from the W-guild! The Octoberfest pub is held in iDét and opens at 18:00!

Welcome to Geekend The final Geekend of the year is soon upon us, this time with a halloween theme (spooky 😱)! What is Geekend? It is the D-guild's very own lan-party! But it is not just a lan-party, but also offers the opportunity to play hide and seek in the E-house, board-games, virtual reality, or Nintendo Switch, or to just have a nice time in Idét. When is Geekend? From the 8:th to the 10:th of November! Geekend typically start between 17 and 18 on the Friday, and ends around 17 on the Sunday. Why is Geekend? Becuase LAN PARTIES ARE SO MUCH FUN! 😊 Halloween brings more to the table! Dress up in your scariest outfit (Or something more comfortable, that's up to you) Participate in the halloween themed baking session! Watch a halloween film in E:A! Frighten your friends with extra spooky games as the weekend progresses! Spooky tzatziki??? Wow, this sounds terrific, how do i join?? Just show up whenever you feel like it during the event! To plan as effectively as possible, we have created a form for expressing interest, which all members of the D-section are welcome to fill out. The form mainly focuses on a gasque-sittning, but feel free to fill it in if you are interested in other types of events. Decisions on motions and propositions: D-chip them out: The second reading of the proposition was approved. Editorial rights to the board: The second reading was approved. Majority in decisions on the bylaws: The second reading was approved. Make the bylaws more inclusive: The second reading was approved. Update of the Strategic Plan: The motion was approved in its entirety. Policy for cooperation with D-Chip: The proposition was approved in its entirety. Program Committee: A refined motion was approved. The name of the Program Committee was changed to "Central Process Committee (CPU)" with 38 votes in favor and 37 votes against. Program Director was renamed "Process Master" and Vice Program Director to "Vice Process Master," while Web and System Directors were renamed DWWW-responsible and root, and Developer remained as Developer. Elections: Election Committee representatives from first-year students: Thea Hartzell, Gusten Olsson, Alice Ward, Patrisia Lindén, Markus Sörensen, Rufus Kogg Röjder, Theo Ask, Alexander Ahl, Hannes Bolmehag, Edvin Sternerup, Maja Ottoson, John Bergren, Elvira Barnaga, David Hallstäde, Carl Haggren, Felix Ohrgren, Edwin Jönsson, Noah Heneen, Tomas Kamsäter, Johannes Arte, Hadar Eklund, Elias Elmhäll and Eric Enström were elected as Election Committee representatives.
