Hi, We from TIF (Teknologkårens IF) hope you are all enjoying your introduction weeks and the events that come with them. We want to take this opportunity to remind you that there are also things to do after the introduction is over! From October 3-5, the Academic Games will be held in Gothenburg, a sports event for all university students in Sweden. The sports being held this year include padel, climbing, disc golf, golf, badminton, tennis, sailing, chess, as well as team sports such as E-sports (League of Legends and Counter-Strike 2), football, and beach volleyball. You can find more information about each sport here: https://www.akademiskaspelen.se/sporter. There are no requirements to be experienced in any of the sports, so you can see it as an opportunity to try out a new sport while meeting many other students. However, to participate, you need to be a member of SAIF or a club connected to SAIF (which TIF is). If you are not already a member of TIF, you can become a supporting member for 40 SEK (it costs 50 SEK to become a supporting member of SAIF). Registration is done via two links: https://forms.gle/Uu1Z8KyG8k1nC1uK6 for TIF, and primarily via the official link: https://www.akademiskaspelen.se/sign-up. The TIF link is for us to verify membership (or arrange it for those who need it) and to form teams from incomplete team registrations. Registration must be completed by September 17, i.e., this coming Tuesday (we apologize for the short notice, we were informed about this recently). To earn the medal, one must have been a committee member for 3 years in a committee. Hey guild! On October 7th, it's time for HTM1, which means the election of Head of Introducions Committee (Øverphøs) and Head of Student Well-being (Trivselmästare).
